Isoph Part of 14th Annual President's Seminar at American
Library Association Conference
Chapel Hill, NC (December 12, 2003) - Isoph
CEO Jeff Cobb will be one of a select group of representatives from
the e-learning and digital content management industries speaking
as part of a panel at the upcoming America Library Association (ALA)
Midwinter conference in San Diego. The panel, hosted by RMG Consultants,
is designed to address a variety of issues libraries face in managing
digital content that has been created to support learning environments
in K-12 and higher education institutions.
The panel will be asked to address a number of topics
important for libraries and their users in today's Web-based information
and learning environments, including:
- Should libraries even consider creating digital
content? If so, what kinds?
- What systems and services for content production
and management should libraries use?
- What kinds of solutions should libraries provide
for their users to access content and learning services in library
and learning environments?
- How should integrated library systems, learning
management systems, content management systems, and resource discovery
portals relate?
- What standards for the new library and learning
environments should libraries seek and support?
“This is a unique opportunity to focus on the
ways in which learning technologies impact libraries, one of our
society’s most important resources,” said Cobb. “We’re
honored to be participants in this discussion.” Other industry
representatives on the panel include:

The panel will convene on Friday, January 9, 2004,
from 2 to 5 pm at the American Library Association Midwinter Conference,
San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.
