ISOPH'S THE SOPHIST FEATURES INTERVIEW WITH DAVID BORNSTEIN

Quarterly Online Journal Speaks with Author of How to Change the World

book cover of How to Change the WorldCarrboro, NC (May 6, 2004) - Isoph today announced that the May issue of its free quarterly online journal, The Sophist, will feature an interview with David Bornstein, author of How to Change the World: Social Entrepreneurs and the Power of New Ideas.

“David Bornstein’s work has made an invaluable contribution to telling the story of social entrepreneurship,” said Celisa Steele, editor in chief of The Sophist and Isoph’s chief creative officer. “We’re thrilled to be able talk to him about the incredible people and organizations he has written about and his ideas regarding how social entrepreneurship is changing the world.”

In his conversation with The Sophist, Bornstein emphasizes the role that learning will play in the future of social entrepreneurship. “Learning is the next major challenge,” Bornstein asserts. “We need learning more than we need more social entrepreneurship now. We have a lot of useful models out there now that have nowhere near reached their potential in terms of where they could go.”

In addition to the interview with Bornstein, The Sophist spotlights Beth Anderson, managing director of the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, in its regularly featured “Monolog” and considers current Wall Street sweetheart Google in the context of social entrepreneurship.

May’s issue of The Sophist, including the interview with Bornstein, can be found online at http://www.isophinstitute.com/sophist_no9.aspx.
