CHAMBER AND ISOPH TEAM UP TO OFFER ONLINE BUSINESS LEARNING

Chapel Hill, NC (July 23, 2003) - The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce and Isoph have joined forces to offer Web-based training to area business owners, managers and employees to help them improve their business and technology skills.

The Chamber's learning center--at www.learning.carolinachamber.org--offers access to classes ranging from time management and negotiating to HTML and Microsoft Office. Registered users can log on to the Web site any time, day or night, and take courses at their own pace, picking up skills in everything from project management to PowerPoint.

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, a 920-member organization composed of businesses and nonprofit agencies, is pleased to partner with Isoph to make these courses readily available to our membership, said Aaron Nelson, executive director.

“The Chamber’s mission is to help the Chapel Hill-Carrboro community succeed by helping our members succeed,” Nelson said. “These courses provide an opportunity to learn hands-on business skills that are invaluable for owners, managers and employees in all fields, whether small businesses, large corporations or nonprofit agencies.”
