Picture an organization that enables asociations and
other nonprofits to educate their members, staff, board members,
volunteers, and donors about how to pursue their mission more effectively;
an organization that empowers individuals to create personal and
social change through education; an organization that spurs innovation
in how we think about the business of improving our society.
This is Isoph--an organization grounded in the practical and inspired
by the ideal.
Isoph grew out of a conviction that, if you provide
people with knowledge, they're capable of anything, even changing
the world. Our name reflects the central importance we place on
knowledge and learning. The soph syllable is derived from
sophia, Greek for wisdom. The I is intentionally more
ambiguous. It's the individual learner, the Internet, innovation.
And the I is you--your knowledge, your learning.
