Protecting Your Sensitive Information

At Isoph, we take many steps to ensure the security of your e-commerce transaction. When you are asked to enter sensitive information (a credit card number, for example), that information is encrypted and is protected with industry standard encryption software, or secure socket layer (SSL).

While on a secure page, such as the e-commerce section of our site, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are simply surfing.

In fact, your browser may launch a small window to "warn" you that you've requested a secure document. The window is lets you know that you're entering the safest, most secure area of our Web site, which is where credit card transactions take place. If you do receive such a message, simply click to continue. When you've finished your transactions and are leaving the secure mode, you'll likely receive another similar alert message to notify you that you've requested an insecure document, which isn't a concern since you've completed your e-commerce securely.

Working with the Tried and True

Our partner VeriSign, who handles our e-commerce transactions, uses state-of-the-art 128-bit SSL encryption (the strongest available) to protect your confidential information from interception and hacking. Communication is encrypted end-to-end with 1024-bit RSA public/private key pairs assuring server authenticity and invulnerability to person-in-the-middle attacks.

VeriSign's authentication procedures have withstood the most rigorous scrutiny from independent third-party auditors. In fact, VeriSign was the first certificate authority in the world to pass an extensive independent SAS 70 Type II audit by KPMG, the global accounting and consulting firm. (The Statement of Auditing Standard 70, SAS 70, was established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to certify trusted practices.)
